After a long hard week with a lot more downs than ups, me and my friends decided to take a trip to Birmingham, which I thought was a great opportunity to go exploring as I'd only ever been to Birmingham once before for a concert so I hadn't really seen what there was to offer, if anything. I knew about the library as I'd heard from friends that it was really good and a must see, I also heard that there was a jack wills so I had to check that out also.
Birmingham
I discovered a cute little japanese buffet with a really eye catching and colourful sign
This art in one of the malls was so great, they had recreated iconic scenes such as the last supper and replaced the biblical characters with superheros
Jack Wills
I loved the window display for jack wills i spotted it before I even realised it was actually the Jack Wills store as the shops sign is very old school. The window display had one side of it to be Jamie from Made in Chelsea and the other to be Becca who I know is an MTV presenter with amazing style. The window display looked as if it was pop-out like in a magazine, it was very colourful and bold with lots of texture and pattern. I loved the inside of the store too which had a variety of displays from dead peasants to books and bags stacked and piled up as if it was from a boarding school. Where the checkout station was there were many antlers all on the wall which was very effective and stood out. At the back of the shop where the stairs were there was a huge wall filled with different framed artwork and such, with a massive chandelier.
The library
The library was a great experience, each floor had something different to offer from the music floor, to the secret garden on the top floor and even a william shakespeare memorial which was very interesting. It is a library you could surely spend an entire day in. The decor is very modern and cool with escalators shuttles and even led lighting.
