Greek cuisine is a mediterranean cuisine which depicts a lot of healthiness and wellbeing because of the mediterranean diet being full of fresh vegetables and salad with olive oil and feta cheese etc. Greek food shares a lot of characteristics with Middle Eastern cuisine. Greek desserts are characterized by the dominant use of nuts and honey and many dishes use filo pastry, they even have baklawa but it is pronounced baklava in greek.

Rozafa - greek restaurent in manchester
I really enjoyed my evening at rozafa restaurent in manchester. We wasn't planning to particular go to this place but we came across it whilst driving past and thought we would give it a try. The atmosphere really made the night as the tables were all close together so you was basically sat with other people, there was live music and the waiters were really friendly and helpful, they stopped what they was doing on many occassions to start doing the traditional greek dance which was very entertaining. Not forgetting the food which was lovely fresh and traditional.
Turkish Cuisine
Turkish Proverb - Today's egg is better than tomorrows hen
Turkish cuisine is very similiar to Middle eastern cuisine because of its ottomon influences. It is popular in UK for its kebabs and dough-based desserts such as baklava and keneffeh. Even the way in which turkish food is eaten and laid out is the same as in the middle east.
