Italian food is sooo popular I feel like its definatly a staple on a weekly basis in most homes. From our epic love for pizza to our desire of pasta in many forms from spagetti to penne or the more daring gnocchi which are balls of dough that have a twist as they contain potato, you simply boil them until they float and then you dress them in a sauce, anything from a creamy mascarpone and tomato to a more fresh pesto and bazil sauce. Although it is renowned for being difficult to make, rissoto is a beautiful creamy dish made from rice and typically includes cream, butter and wine.
A famous dessert which originates from Italy is the tiramisu. It is a creamy dessert which includes layers of cake and cream with coffee and liquor flavours, very decadent but not too sweet.
Spanish food is seen as being very healthy as it is all fresh produce and a variety of exotic vegetables thrown together. A very famous dish is the seafood paella which is a vat of rice mixed with different seafoods.
The Tapas originates from Andalucia and is basically lots of smallers dishes which are served all at once so you can share and dip in and enjoy different elements as opposed to just one big meal. I like the idea of this as it means trying lots of different things.

mexican
I thought I would throw mexican into this category, here are homecooked mexican fajitas. I love mexican food I think its perfect when you know you have alot of people to feed and great for dinner parties etc as you can make the basis of the meal, the filling and leave it upto your guests to create there ownand put it together themselves, so its fun whilst also taking alot of time and stress away from yourself, nachos burritos and tacos are also quick easy but totally tasy. Mexican spices always seem to be a bit more fruity and palettable as opposed to indian spices and with the mix of different vegetables such as peppers and mushrooms etc its a perfect combination. I always thought jimmy changa was a drink or dessert but on my research I found that jimmy changas are actually called chimmy changas or chimmichangas and are essentially deep fried burritos.
