FRENCH

Although I am not all too familiar with french cuisine, I had a friend in my first year of University who was from France, Montpellier and he was always recieving food parcels from his parcels containing an array of cheeses and wines which are a major part of the cuisine, playing different roles regionally and nationally.  French soup is a dish we have on menus here in the Uk which is a very thin soup only containing stock and onions, with a crust of cheesey bread sitting on top. Baguettes are very popular and infamous french cuisine which we have taken to here in the UK and is available at most grocery stores and supermarkets. A famous french delicacy are frogs legs and snails. Many people squirm at the idea of tasting frogs legs, but never say never..

french desserts

I have a major sweet tooth and love french desserts, especially french patisseries. Not many people know that the chocolate mousse origniates from France. Other famous desserts are the creme brulee, profiterole, macaroons, tart tatin, crepes and souffles, the list could surely go on the best desserts definately come from france in my opinion.
