How exciting to be celebrating world nutella day!
It actually seems absurd to be celebrating a jar of hazelnut spread, but then again I feel without nutella a firm family favourite and store cupboard staple would definiely be missing.
Can you believe Nutella actually landed in stores in 1964? I myself grew up with it as my family absolutely love and are crazy for anything nut related. We loved it in the morning on toast like many. As a more special treat a thick layer of nutella would be spread on warm pancakes and rolled up, mmmm nostalgia.
World Nutella day was announced in 2007 and every year on the 5th of february we have an excuse to over indulge on nutellas beautiful chocolate creamyness.
It is adored and used globally, Nutella is more than just a “chocolaty hazelnut spread,” it is a way of life.
From childhood memories to oozing hot crepes, from breakfasts on vacation to free-spooning sessions on the couch, Nutella is prominent in the memories of many children and grown-up children in the world. the list of recipe choices are endless and ever growing, and has become much more than just a spread to put over your toast in the morning.
One of the great things about nutella which I feel has instilled its global popularity is that they have literally stuck to one product and made it iconic. Yes they do have there spin off product of the 'lunch snap packs' (plastic containers half filled with breadsticks and half with nutella), but other than that we haven't been bombarded with nutella hot chocolate, nutella cake, nutella cereal, nutella in bar form etc. We as customers take the reign of creator and are
